Visiting the highlands for 5 days in April and wondering where the best areas / towns are
Hi, I'm visiting Scotland for 5 days (4 nights) in April and will be flying into and out of Inverness. I've non permanent bookings made in Cadbol, Keiss, Ullapool then back to Inverness. Are these good places to stop of? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Ill be renting a car from the airport, interested in walking / hiking / water sports.
Thanks in advance!

The NC500 website has a great 5 day round trip itinerary north of Inverness which is worth a look - http://www.northcoast500.com/itinerary/5-day-highlight.aspx
If you fancy something shorter I suggest heading over to Wester Ross and exploring the West Coast - including Applecross. I have a guide to Wester Ross here - http://www.lovefromscotland.co.uk/visit-wester-ross/
Hope that helps a little!

I've written a blog about the east coast section of the NC500 which you may find interesting.
There are another couple of NC500 posts on my website www.theweewhitedug.com too but they focus on the west and north of the route.
