Isle of Skye with children
Hi,
We are planning on visiting Skye in August 2017 for a week (self-catering). Children will be close to 5 and 8 years old. Both like outdoors (as do parents). Any suggestions, including wet weather activities such as indoor play, swimming pool; would be helpful in understanding options. Also, any suggestions on interesting, child-friendly outdoor activities, particularly if this includes horse/ pony riding.
Thanks
Richard

There are lots walks you can do on Skye, two of the more popular ones are climbing up to the Old Man of Storr and seeing the Fairy Pools. For more information please go to the Walkhighlands website. In Portree there is the Fingal Centre with a swimming pool. For Pony trekking, please have a look at Portree Stables or the Isle of Skye and Therapy Centre. You can also consider a visit to Dunvegan Castle and its beautiful grounds, and the nearby Coral Beach. You could also do a wildlife boat trip which I'm sure the kids would love.
Have a great holiday on this beautiful island!
