What to do in/near Aberfeldy

I'm going to Aberfeldy for a day trip this weekend with a friend and am looking thing to do while we're there. Nothing too extreme and nothing that will break the bank. Any suggestions?

The Birks of Aberfeldy (inspired a Rabbie Burns poem) should have popped up in your search of things to do & is definitely a must visit. It's a gentle walk from the car park to a waterfall and back. I'm hoping the fall colours are on full display there right now, below are a couple of pix from my summer visit.
The rest of my time there, I was either sitting by the river Tay (very relaxing) or walking through the picturesque village centre. A lot of people visiting continued on to Castle Menzies (30 min walk from the village centre), you can consider doing so as well. Also consider driving a bit more to reach another pretty village, Kenmore, on the banks of Loch Tay.

I would definately recommend Kenmore on the banks of Loch Tay. It is very pretty and you can visit the Scottish Crannog Centre to find out more about how people lived in the Iron Age! Also a drive along Loch Tay is very nice too. Fortingall with its famous Yew Tree and nearby Glen Lyon are also worth a visit.
