I am looking at organising a mountain bike trip across the Hebridies?
If anybody has done anything like this before are they able to share their experiences how easy was it to get accommodation ? Book boats etc

I'd suggest Visit Scotland's accommodation section on the website. They have lots of island accomodation. For larger islands like Mull and Skye you may pick up some bargains on booking.com On the smaller isles accomodation is more scarce so it's best booked well in advance. You could considered camping though if that's your thing?
I love hiking in the mountains but even the mere thought of biking in the hills makes me sweat.
Have you seen our itinerary? You might also find that useful:

The CalMac website itself has some good advice on cycling in the Hebrides, with suggested routes for different levels and tips on planning ahead.

CalMac says you can bring your bike for free (as a footpassenger) on their ferries but should call ahead the day before to check there is space to store your bike.

I'm afraid I'm with @Samantha_Grant on the thought of cycling in the hills, so can't offer any personal experience that would be helpful.
