Revised statutory guidance on application of the Code - 2019 version

This guidance updates and replaces the original statutory guidance of October 2013 that was introduced to coincide with publication of the 2013 Code of Practice. It incorporates the Commissioner's guidance on "merit and most able", issued in August 2014, and includes a number of additional changes intended to enhance the operation of the public appointments process. It also supersedes the revised guidance issued in 2016. This new and updated guidance is effective from 29 March 2019.
