From 1 October 2019, responsibility for some national workforce data, statistical & intelligence function transferred from ISD to NHS Education for Scotland (NES). A joint letter 
[346Kb] by the Chief Executives of NSS and NES, dated 23 August 2019, details the rationale for the changes and arrangements for the transfer of these functions.
NES are now responsible for publishing quarterly workforce data although this will continue to be hosted on the ISD website until end of March 2020.
The publications released on 3 December with data as at 30 September 2019 are the first produced by NES and can be accessed via this page.
