Email Register of InterestSusan is a lawyer specialising in international criminal and human rights law. She has worked in Latin America, Africa and Europe providing technical assistance to state prosecutors and investigating human rights abuses.

Email Register of InterestJane-Claire is the Chief Executive Officer for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland. She was previously National Director for Diabetes Scotland. Jane-Claire is also currently a Board member at NHS Health Scotland.

Head of Strategy & Legal
Kavita is a qualified lawyer. She leads the Commission’s Strategy and Legal team. Kavita is experienced in designing and delivering human rights capacity building projects in both the public and private sectors.

Legal Officer - Rights Based Approach
Cathy is a qualified solicitor and Legal Officer at the Commission. She leads the Commission’s work in promoting a human rights based approach, with a particular focus on health and social care.

Eleanor Deeming
Legal Officer
Eleanor is a qualified solicitor and Legal Officer at the Commission. She provides legal and policy advice to support all of the Commission’s functions and leads the Commission’s work on social security.

Tatora Mukushi
Legal Officer
Tatora is a dual-qualified solicitor and Legal Officer at the Commission. He provides legal and policy advice on human rights issues, and works on the Commission's interventions in civil proceedings.

Alison Hosie
Research Officer
Alison is the research officer at the Commission. She supports the Commission's research needs by developing and managing external research contracts and undertaking primary and secondary research.

Diego Quiroz
Policy Officer
Diego leads the Commission's work on legislative scrutiny and engagement with the international human rights system. Current work areas include biometrics, business and human rights, and climate justice.

Lauren provides support to a range of projects within the Commission's work programme. This includes research support to policy and legal work, coordination of events, and general administrative support.

Emma leads the Commission's communications and engagement work including developing and overseeing strategy, managing our programme of work and leading the team.

Media and Communications Officer
Carolyn coordinates and carries out media, social media and wider communications activities for the Commission. She has a background in journalism and communications in a range of contexts.

Chloë coordinates and delivers the Commission's work with people and organisations affected by the issues we work on. Her background is in human rights and participatory engagement.

Liz Gibb
Head of Corporate Services
Liz leads the Commission’s corporate services team, delivering a range of services that support the Commission’s work. She is a Chartered Accountant and is experienced in multi-disciplinary roles in a range of sectors.
The Head of Corporate Services leads a team of business support administrators that help the Commission's work through a range of services including finance, HR, governance support, information and records management, statutory compliance, IT and facilities. In addition to day-to-day service delivery, the Corporate Services team works to identify and deliver organisational development projects that contribute to the on-going performance of the organisation. The team is the first point of contact for people contacting the Commission.
