Throughout, information is shown as headcount, or whole time equivalent (WTE). WTE adjusts headcount staff figures to take account of part-time staff. Definitions of these terms can be found here [110Kb].
Changes in the collection and presentation of workforce information due to staff group changes under Agenda for Change means that historical trend analysis is limited. The tables below show the available information from 2002 for high level staff groups.
