Allied Health Professions
This section provides information on the allied health professions workforce in NHS Scotland. The data presented within the reports, tables and dashboards incorporates all staff employed directly by NHS Boards and excludes those working as independent contractors. Quarterly data for qualified and support staff in post is presented by profession, agenda for change (AfC) band, age , gender, contract type, NHS Board and region. Vacancy data is available for AHP staff group and is presented by profession, qualified/support, NHS Board and region. A vacant position is a post which has been cleared for advert after being through the redeployment process (internal or external advert) and remains a vacancy until an individual starts in the post.
Throughout, information is shown as headcount, or whole time equivalent (WTE). WTE adjusts headcount staff figures to take account of part-time staff. Definitions of these terms can be found here
