That the Parliament commends National Autistic Society Scotland on tackling social isolation faced by autistic people by establishing online social groups; notes that the lockdown has been very challenging for autistic people and their families, with many it believes struggling with mental health and intense anxiety, and understands that National Autistic Society Scotland’s online groups will offer autistic people the chance to connect and chat about whatever they like, and provide a safe and supported space where people can share their thoughts and gain confidence from each other.

That the Parliament commends David Devine, a musician and former pupil of St Aidan’s High School in Wishaw, on launching an online fundraiser in support of St Andrew’s Hospice; notes that Rock the Hospice has already broken through its original target by collecting nearly £11,000 for the hospice; understands that, with the fundraiser, David is showing his gratitude to staff at the hospice after he and his family saw the care and devotion they gave to his sister, who sadly died of breast cancer in December 2017 at the age of just 50, and thanks David for his efforts to support St Andrew’s Hospice.
