That the Parliament commends La Vita, which is a group of restaurants that includes a venue in Bishopbriggs, on raising over £9,000 for the charity, When You Wish Upon a Star Scotland; understands this was raised over the festive period when customers were able to contribute a discretionary 10p to charity through their bill, which the group then matched; acknowledges that the total raised made it the chain's best fundraising year yet and takes the amount raised over the three years of this initiative to £22,717; notes that the money helps the charity to support activities such as trips to Lapland, in which children go on sleigh rides and meet Father Christmas, and congratulates La Vita on this initiative and generosity, which supports such a wonderful cause.
