Message from Caroline Anderson, Ethical Standards Commissioner
19 March 2020
This office looks to the words of the First Minister during this crisis "our goal is to protect the public's health".
Over the past weekend, I invoked emergency actions to facilitate remote working on the part of my small team. In doing so, I have assured ongoing service provision whilst protecting the health of my team, their families and the community whom we serve, as far as is possible in current circumstances.
My office was then ready and able to act immediately on directives for limiting spread of the virus, as issued by the First Minister and the Prime Minister on 16 March 2020.
By utilising available technology, my aim is to provide unbroken service whilst placing public health at the front and centre of my office agenda.
We are closely monitoring the unfolding situation and will post updates as and when necessary.
