• The North Coast 500 - why not camp around Scotland's Route 66? Start on the Moray Firth where you can dolphin spot from your tent, before driving to the north coast for views to Orkney. Then, head west to finish your tour at a campsite on a white sand beach - the North Coast 500 is a camping holiday in Scotland you'll never forget. The route is also suitable for campervans and motorhomes, and there are lots of glamping options along the way.
• Fort William and Glen Nevis - want to climb the biggest hills in Scotland? There are lots of campsites in Fort William where you have access to Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, along with the stunning Mamores and Nevis ranges. Don't like heights? From Fort William, you can also visit the Caledonian Canal and the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
• Glencoe - camping in Glencoe makes for an awe-inspiring outdoor adventure. Explore Glencoe by day, and at night, light your campfire to watch the stars. Why not head to one of the glen's famous local inns to hear old tales of clan battles and cow rustling in the surrounding mountains.
• Loch Lomond - Scotland's largest loch offers up 720 square miles of National Park to explore. Pitch your tent or campervan at one of the campsites at Loch Lomond to bag one of the 21 Munros, paddleboard around the loch's 22 islands, or hike along the West Highland Way. Wild camping at Loch Lomond is restricted from March to September, but you can still 'wild' camp in designated spaces with a permit from the National Park.
