The MV Chieftain has operated the passenger only service from Gourock - Kilcreggan since 2007. Previously operating as SPT until the mid 2020, when the decision to incorporate the Gourock - Kilcreggan service into the existing Caledonian MacBrayne Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Service contract. The transition took place on 1 June 2020.
