Coronavirus in Scotland

Stay safe, protect others, save lives.

You should:

  • stay at home as much as possible
  • only go outside for limited purposes
  • stay 2 metres (6 feet) away from other people
  • wash your hands regularly and as soon as you get home
  • wear a face covering on public transport and enclosed public spaces

Scotland moved to Phase 2 of the route map for moving out of lockdown on 19 June 2020.

Scottish Government approach and strategy

Our approach is guided by the Chief Medical Officer, and we continue to monitor the situation closely and to work with the WHO and international community.

We are working with the Welsh Government, Northern Ireland Executive, and the UK Government to respond to the ongoing outbreak.
