First Minister in Dundee

20 November 2018

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was in Dundee to undertake a series of engagements and meet with business representatives and stakeholders across the economic and health sector.

In the morning, the First Minister and Economy Secretary Derek Mackay met union representatives to discuss the work undertaken by the Michelin Dundee Action Group. The group, which was launched by Economy Secretary earlier this year, has been tasked with exploring all options to secure a sustainable future for the Michelin site and its workforce. It includes representatives from Michelin, the trade unions, Dundee City Council, UK Government and manufacturing and business experts.
