Until 7 November 2017 I was a director of Tenairvia Consulting Limited, of Torrisdale Street, Queens Park, Glasgow. Biography
Overview
Born in Glasgow and brought up in Fife, I went on to study at the University of Edinburgh. I've been a chartered accountant since 1976 and worked for accounting firm KPMG for over 25 years in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and then Bucharest in Romania. I became an MSP for North-East Scotland in 2016.
What motivated you to become an MSP?
I've always been interested in current affairs, and working in business at home and abroad was great preparation for entering national politics. I returned to Scotland from Romania in 2014, around the time of the referendum. I became a candidate for the Scottish Conservatives in the 2015 General Election, and the 2016 Scottish Parliament Election. My favourite part of the job is solving problems for constituents.
