The First Minister was interviewed about social media by Eva Murray, a student from the University of the West of Scotland.

They met following an interview for BBC’s Woman’s Hour and Eva asked to interview Ms Sturgeon for a radio module she was doing at university.

The First Minister is an avid fan of social media and regularly uses Twitter so invited Eva to her office at the Scottish Parliament for a chat.

The First Minister answered a number of questions on social media, giving her thoughts on its use in politics.

She said social media was now indispensable to politics and politicians, and thinks it was one of the ways that helped to engage young voters during the independence referendum period.
