That the Parliament congratulates Morag Dunbar on being inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, which acknowledges the dedication of musicians and singers who have supported and influenced Scottish traditional music; notes that Morag’s love of folk music started in Kirkcaldy in the 1960s in the Elbow Room Lounge Bar, a firm fixture on the Scottish folk circuit; understands that Morag’s interest continued as she moved to university and joined the University of Edinburgh folk club, and began guitar lessons and started her performing career both playing and singing; understands that Morag was a founding member of The Heretics, which aimed to promote the poetry and music of Scotland’s living tradition in a relaxed and convivial setting; notes that, on moving in the 1970s to Balerno, Morag was instrumental in establishing music nights in the Grey Horse; understands that, as a founding member, Morag has been involved in running Balerno Folk Club for more than four decades, alongside a dedicated committee of volunteers; recognises that, as well as the regular monthly programme, since 2008 the club has been a partner of the Balerno Music Festival, and wishes Morag all the best with her continuing passion for Scottish folk music.

That the Parliament commends Christine Cochrane from Newmains in Wishaw who recently shaved her hair during the COVID-19 lockdown to raise funds for The Les Hoey Dreammaker Foundation; understands that Christine raised £550 and made the donation in the name of seven-year-old Laia Jenkins, also from Newmains, who sadly passed away earlier in 2020 from diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer; acknowledges the work of The Les Hoey Dreammaker Foundation, which makes dreams come true for children with life-limiting illness, and thanks Christine for her very generous fundraising efforts.

That the Parliament notes that the Wishaw-based precision engineering company, Swissmatic, is playing its part in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by helping to produce lifesaving ventilators; notes that the company is working with Rolls-Royce to help with the production of 8,000 units of ventilators, and thanks staff at Swissmatic for their very much appreciated aid in the production of these much needed pieces of equipment.

That the Parliament commends the Asda stores in Motherwell and Newmains on supporting the national Fight Hunger Create Change campaign, which will invest more than £20 million over three years to support FareShare and the Trussell Trust in tackling poverty; notes that Asda stores across the UK have been donating food directly to charities and community groups during the COVID-19 outbreak and have donated the equivalent of more than 800,000 meals to charities and community groups to help those affected by the pandemic; understands that this includes Asda Motherwell, which has donated 5,679 meals, and Asda Newmains, which has donated 294 meals, to support charities and community groups in Motherwell and Wishaw, and thanks all Asda staff for their hard work during these challenging times.

That the Parliament recognises that International Women in Engineering Day 2020 was marked on 23 June; notes that Network Rail used the day to celebrated the female engineers of Scotland’s railway by showcasing their work to raise their profile across the organisation; acknowledges that a Network Rail survey showed 77% of young women asked felt that there are not enough female role models in STEM; appreciates that a target has been set to increase the number of women in Network Rail by 50% as quickly as possible, taking its overall female representation to 26% with the aim of simultaneously empowering and inspiring young women to enter STEM education and career paths, and sends its best wishes to all of Scotland's female engineers, including those at Network Rail.
