Interface: the knowledge connection for business
Interface is a key player in supporting innovation and knowledge exchange in Scotland.
Established in 2005, with support from SFC,
Scottish Enterprise (SE) and
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), Interface is a hub connecting a wide variety of businesses and industries to Scotland's 23 higher education and research institutes.
In 2013, Interface was helping generate an estimated £17 million gross value added (GVA) per year for the Scottish economy and was supporting more than 350 jobs.
Our
Innovation Vouchers programme, run through Interface, has helped over 1,000 businesses work with academics for the first time.
Case studies can be found on the Interface website.
Interface evolved and enhanced its service as part of the Innovation Scotland Forum. This included Easy Access IP,
University Technology and work around contracts, all of which make it easier for businesses and academics to work together.
