Help to boost small housebuilders
As part of her Programme for Government the First Minister committed an extra £30 million to help people to buy new homes from small and medium sized housebuilders.
Not only will this help people to get on the property ladder, it will also help the 170 smaller developers registered for the Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme.
Campion Homes
When the scheme opened, the First Minister met with small developer Campion Homes in Fife to find out how it will benefit their business.

She also had a chance to catch up with apprentices Darren and Daryl.

Help for 750 homebuyers
Under Help to Buy (Scotland), the Scottish Government takes an equity stake of between 10% and 20% of the value of the property which can be repaid at any time.
This extra cash is set to help a further 750 homebuyers.
