Join storytellers Ron Fairweather and Fergus McNicol as they share incredible tales from the First World War.
You’ll meet a four-legged hero, Murphy the Ambulance Donkey, who saved lives on the Western Front as well as other furry and feathered friends who shared the trenches with the soldiers. Hear of enemy soldiers who became best of friends; funny stories, sad stories, these are tales of how in the middle of war, both people and animals can show incredible bravery and friendship. Come along and enjoy storytelling and sing-a-longs for all the family and introduce young people to the history and heroes of the First World War.
Fergus and Ron are the duo Macastory who perform a mixture of stories, poems and songs to excite children – and adults – of all ages! Macastory are registered storytellers with the Scottish Storytelling Centre and Disclosure Scotland.
