A fascinating talk about the pioneering Edinburgh-born Dr Elsie Inglis who in 1914 offered the War Office a female-staffed hospital unit and was told to Go Home and Sit Still. She didn't.
Instead, Dr Inglis established the Scottish Women's Hospitals, which were welcomed by the French and Serbian units and she was hailed as a national heroine.
