The First Minister and Scottish Enterprise Chief Executive, Lena Wilson also opened trading at the London Stock Exchange.

Figures published yesterday show that ‘risk capital’ – investment in new, growing businesses – was up 20 per cent to £244m in 2014 in Scotland.

The results represent a five-year growth of 90 per cent and show increasing confidence in the Scottish business market.
