The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service thanks donors and staff who kept Scotland’s hospitals supplied during lockdown – and asks new donors to come forwards.

Social distancing might keep us apart but the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service are finding new ways of keeping in touch.

If you have had Covid-19, you may be able to give Convalescent Plasma - a treatment which has been shown to help some of the very sickest coronavirus patients.

Staff Nurse Denise Brady and partner David Gaughan, both from Edinburgh, have recently donated Convalescent Plasma together after contracting Covid-19.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service has collected 310 units of Convalescent Plasma to help patients in Scotland fight Covid-19.
