First Minister Nicola Sturgeon met the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Staffan De Mistura, last Saturday (7th May) for a private briefing on the Syrian peace process.

She discussed the role of Syrian women in the peace process during a special United Nations initiative taking place in Scotland. She then met some of the women involved in the Syrian Women’s Advisory Board.

Ten members of the Board travelled to Edinburgh on Friday for four days of talks.
