World Aids Day Message 2015

1 December 2015

Watch First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s message for World Aids Day 2015.

In the video the First Minister expresses her support for correcting myths, tackling misconceptions, and challenging stigmas that can sometimes surround AIDS.

She urges those who think they might have HIV to be tested as soon as possible, as that is crucial to curbing the spread of the disease and enables them to get the treatment they need.

She also encourages Scots to wear a red ribbon to mark World Aids Day 2015 in remembrance of those who have died from AIDS and to express solidarity for those with HIV.
