About the role

Our team managers support their team of inspectors to manage the inspection workload, consider risk factors and maximise performance. They also manage enforcement activity and support service development and improvement. Team managers work closely with our registration and complaints teams to ensure effective regulation of care services.

About the role

Children and Young People – Joining us will allow you to play an important and exciting role in helping deliver on Scotland’s Promise to Children and Young People. You’ll have experience as a registered care service manager, deputy manager, social worker, senior social worker, social work manager. You’ll have experience of leadership in your role of supporting looked after children and young people, either in a formal management, senior practitioner position or as a specific project/ strategy lead. You should have experience in assessment and critical analysis and be able to communicate this both verbally and in accessible written formats.

Adults - You’ll likely come from or have experience of being a registered care service manager, for a care home, care at home, housing support, deputy manager, clinical lead in a care home, a nurse team leader or an AHP team leader or a care manager with experience of assessment/placement. We also welcome applications from nurses with experience of social care settings or an operational manager in social care. You’ll have recent or current experience of delivering a quality older people’s social care service or of being a registered service manager. We would specifically like to see applicants with operational experience in older people’s services.

Early learning and childcare – You’ll likely come from or have experience of being a registered care service manager, for a day care of children service or out of school care service. You may have had a management role in supporting childminders or other childcare providers. You will have recent experience of supporting the delivery of high-quality care and learning for children and will have significant knowledge of current developments and challenges within the sector.
