Travelling in a vehicle - All vehicle occupants MUST remain in their vehicles during the duration of the crossing.
When travelling on our 'turn up and go' routes, please:
- Plan ahead as your first choice of sailing may not always be available.
- Remember wait times may be extended.
- Capacity is constrained – please plan your journey with key workers and islanders in mind.
- Follow updated advice on how to travel safely.
Dangerous Goods vehicles will not be carried on this route until further notice and will need to travel via Colintraive.
Gourock Linkspan
Gourock linkspan is closed from 19th October until further notice for essential repair and maintenance. During this time if the ferry cannot berth at Wemyss Bay due to adverse weather conditions all traffic will be re-routed through Rhubodach – Colintraive and Hunters Quay – McInroy’s Point (Western Ferries). Vehicle drivers must go to either Wemyss Bay or Rothesay port office to exchange their tickets for a warrant that will allow them to travel on the alternative route at no additional cost. The vouchers are not available anywhere except Wemyss Bay or Rothesay port offices. The tickets can only be exchanged for the warrant on the day of the disruption.
