The Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) have today published new figures on the levels of staff vacancies in Scotland’s social care services.

We have published new guidance, Wilful neglect, ill-treatment and corporate homicide, for social service workers and care providers who deliver social care and health services and support to adults, in partnership with the Care Inspectorate.

We’ve updated the supplementary guidance for SVQ assessment centres dealing with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic when assessing candidates. This replaces the previous guidance issued in May 2020.
