The National E-learning Offer

The National e-Learning Offer provides a single place to find resources available including:

Online interactive sessions for learners

As part of the National e-Learning Offer, e-Sgoil is supporting schools' own arrangements for remote learning and teaching by providing live interactive learning sessions in the senior phase to support children and young people who are working from home.

e-Sgoil has extended its provision to include live interactive sessions for the broad general education and live study support sessions.

Resources for practitioners preparing online remote learning

The National e-Learning Offer has a range of recorded and supported resources which are available for learners to use as directed by their teacher. The recorded and supported materials are being generated by Scotland’s education community and the range of resources will increase over time.

The following range of resources are available:

  • West OS recorded resources - A growing range of recorded lessons are available, designed to support learners to develop skills, knowledge and understanding related to a key learning concept. Currently these are available via the West OS powered by ClickView which is accessible via Glow (access is available to those local authorities who have signed up for this service)
  • Supported resources - An initial range of resources has been identified by the Scottish education community to enable practitioners to select a variety of digital content to support their learners.
  • Curriculum support - A range of curriculum support is also available. Our wakelets provide lots of useful links to external resources which practitioners can use with their learners.

Professional learning for working remotely with learners online

A range of webinars and online events are available to help support practitioners with the skills for working remotely with learners online.

DigiLearn.scot provides support on how to use digital tools and pedagogical approaches to deliver online learning, including engaging learners with active digital learning, live mixed delivery between school and home, and creating videos for learners.  View the learning paths exploring a range of digital tools to support learning and teaching on-line.
