Do you agree that Snooker & Pool venues are as safe as bars, restaurants, gyms and amusement arcades?

Do you agree that snooker & pool is a fantastic way to get vulnerable people back out socialising due to the increased social distancing whilst playing the game?

Snooker venues have gone to great lengths to make them safe. And by the nature of the game, are much safer than pubs or restaurants.

Should be open as safe uncrowded environment and for mental health reasons people need to be able to look forward to something, especially people with little other means of making social contact with others. This top down broad brush untargeted banning everything approach is ridiculous.

It's a non contract sport... Great for relaxing the mind.

I think due to all forms of pool and snooker being on tables that are atleast 6x4 feet and standing on either side of the table to your opponent ensures social distancing it is Alot safer than most people will be even in their own homes this Christmas. Cues and tables can be sanitised very easily as well. These types of games are usually played in quiet rooms as well which prevents the risk of transferring the virus by shouting. There are many reasons why this game is safe and even healthy during covid times but these are just a few. I think it is a good option for people to enjoy rather than breaking covid guidelines and meeting people in other households. Please allow us to enjoy our sport once again.

I think its disgraceful that snooker clubs are not allowed to open they are large enough in size to social distance in and they can put measures in place too keep people safe in these clubs. It is also a haven for some people to get out and about to meet their old friends that they have been going too the snooker clubs for years with.
