School closures in an emergency

From 5 January 2021 to 15 January 2021, schools will only open to in-person learning for children of key workers and vulnerable children.

All other children and young people will:

• not return to learning until 11 January
• have remote learning from 11 January to 15 January.

School closures can happen because of emergencies like:

• severe winds
• flooding
• extreme winter weather
• the impact of coronavirus

These decisions are made in the interest of student and staff safety.
