To achieve our objective of providing high quality care and support for older people we need to
be sure that our health and social service workforces are properly educated and trained. In taking
the workforce development issues forward in a joined up way SSSC and NES are working
together with all interests to consider current and future workforce requirements.
In order to promote effective progress the SGHD recommendations have been categorised under
three main headings: Demographics; Skills; Learning Provision and Support, with subgroups
to progress the work.
