All FLS visitor centres are currently closed. Walking and mountain bike trails remain open, as do most toilets and car parks, but do check below for local updates for closures.

Latest forest information
- From 22 March the bridge over the Old Patrick Water leading to Glennifer Braes Country Park is being upgraded. There will be no through route between Windyhill and the country park. These works will last approximately two weeks. Please adhere to all safety signage on site.
Wander through woodland to Brandyburn waterfall
The gentle slope of Windyhill leads up through birch and oak woodland to views of Paisley, Glasgow and the Kilpatrick Hills. Continue on to the southern edge of the wood to find the Brandyburn waterfall, a popular local beauty spot.

There are shops, places to eat and public toilets in Johnstone.
Getting here
Windyhill is on the south side of Johnstone, just over Auchenlodment Road from Bluebell Wood. Why not combine a walk through both into a longer adventure?
If you want to get here by car, a small number of parking spaces are available on Auchenlodment Road. Head north from the junction with Rannoch Road.

Public transport
The forest is less than 1 mile from Johnstone railway station, and there are bus services along Rannoch Road to the edge of the woodland. Plan your journey at Traveline Scotland.
