We welcome the intention to maintain a focus on making sure boards reflect
the diversity of people who live in Scotland. These include minority ethnic
communities and disabled people. In some cases this will include people who
use services and carers. For example, the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act
2001 requires the SSSC to appoint at least two people who use or have used
care services. It also requires the appointment of two SSSC registrants.
