School closures in an emergency

Schools are only open to in-person learning for children of key workers and vulnerable children until at least the middle of February 2021.

All other children and young people will have remote learning until at least the middle of February 2021.

School closures can happen because of emergencies like:

  • severe winds
  • flooding
  • extreme winter weather
  • the impact of coronavirus

These decisions are made in the interest of student and staff safety.
