The A83 is seen as the gateway to Argyll, linking the Ferry port at Kennacraig to central Scotland via the A82. The route links the towns of Tarbet, Inveraray, Furnace, Lochgilphead, Tarbert, Kennacraig and Campbeltown.

Construction work ceased due to COVID-19

Following the measures announced by the Scottish Government, we can confirm that we have implemented a managed shutdown of construction work on our new road project sites until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
