Sentencing statements
The Judicial Office publishes sentencing statements that are made available by judges. A sentencing statement is delivered by the judge in court at the time a sentence is imposed upon an offender. Judges may decide to publish sentencing statements in cases where there is public interest or where the sentence may be complicated or controversial.
