Do you agree the 20 metre rule should be removed from the Adult Disability Payment framework?

Can the Scottish Government achieve their aim of developing a disability assistance system based on the principles of dignity, fairness and respect if they keep the 20m rule?

The 20 metre rule needs removed. This is not a realistic measure of MS sufferers disabilities. It can vary greatly depending on the day. This is discrimination.

Definitely agree, This 20 meter should be scrapped! I have multiple sclerosis and things change from day to day one day I can reach the 20m next day I can't even get out of bed.

The 20m rule is discriminatory against people with MS. Many of us find walking painful and our conditions are highly variable.

Should be removed, not a concept that is realistic, MS sufferers are not all unable to walk, I can walk but in debilitating pain, but I don't count, so as a progressive illness that affects sufferers at different levels it shouldn't be taken into account how much you can walk. MS doesn't go away they need to get that through their heads its progressive and painful unless they have it they will never understand.

My daughter was diagnosed at 18 last March she has good days were she feels good but her bad days she can't walk from the living room to the kitchen as her dizzy spells are very bad

MS is a fluctuating condition with many different disabling symptoms which are poorly understood by most. Whether someone can walk 20m has got very little to do with how disabled someone is. Please involve medically qualified professionals with assessment of disability.
