Do you agree the 20 metre rule should be removed from the Adult Disability Payment framework?

Can the Scottish Government achieve their aim of developing a disability assistance system based on the principles of dignity, fairness and respect if they keep the 20m rule?

The 20 metre rule needs removed. This is not a realistic measure of MS sufferers disabilities. It can vary greatly depending on the day. This is discrimination.

Due to my MS and the Covid restrictions like the 20m rule, I rarely go out as my balance, coordination and poor strength in my legs means I would be in breach of the rules.

I agree the 20m rule needs to go my wife has ms and on a good day she may walk further than 20 m but most of the time she cant walk half of that she was on a lifetime mobilty award for 20yrs at the higher rate now she gets standard rate and was too scared to appeal and is terrified when the assessment comes

Not everyone is the same or day by day can be different please ban 20 metre rule for the whole of UK

This rule should not be applied to MS sufferers and is discriminatory. It is not realistic as disability can vary from day to day. Some days 20 metres might be possible but in immense amount of pain and on other days one can not even get out of bed.

Ms is a one way street for all who suffer. It is a disability downhill with years of suffering with no light at end of tunnel WE HAVE A DUTY TO LOOK AFTER OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT CANNOT LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES THEY ARE IN PAIN AND MISERY EVERY DAY.

Every day is different for people with motor skills disability and the 20 meters is not an indicative measure of abilities
