The CLO delivers legal services to all Health Boards throughout Scotland, in litigation, employment, commercial contracts and commercial property. 

The post holder will provide expert legal services to a number of NHS clients as part of a litigation team across the range of litigation work.

The requirements for the post are as shown below and in the accompanying job description.
The post holder should have extensive post-qualifying experience. In addition, he/she should possess a sound knowledge of reparation law and legal practice, acquired through a degree in law, postgraduate diploma in legal practice and 2 years’ traineeship, plus further relevant post qualifying experience in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court. Particularly desirable will be experience in Health and safety prosecutions, medical negligence and commercial litigation.

In addition, the post holder must have demonstrable experience resulting in specialist knowledge of a range of procedures and processes, ideally in microbiological and/or biochemical QC testing.

Health Facilities Scotland (HFS) is part of the Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) Strategic Business Unit within NHS National Services Scotland and provides operational guidance to NHS Scotland healthcare bodies on all facilities topics. We deliver and co-ordinate effective advice and support in relation to national facilities, equipping and technical matters which support and improve health and well-being services.

The Estates and Asset Management Advisor (Property and Capital Planning) is a permanent post.  
 
We are looking for an experienced and qualified member of staff to support the work on the Estates and Strategic Asset Management agenda.

The Estates and Asset Management Advisor will provide advice, guidance and support on a broad range of complex building and estate related issues to the Scottish Government and the NHS in Scotland.  

They will work together with the NHS Scotland Boards on the development of Boards individual Performance Framework and Quality outcomes as detailed in the Annual State of NHS Scotland Assets and Facilities Report, and provide support to the Boards in implementation and planning.

They will support NHS Scotland Boards with the use of tools including the Estates Asset Management System (EAMS), Common Data Environment (CDE) and Capital Planning System, to support strategic estate management and development, as well as property performance reporting.  

They will work together with Boards on their ongoing survey and property appraisal programmes, advising on and ensuring consistency of data as defined in the NHSScotland Property Appraisal Manual. 

They will work together with Boards on their ongoing Digital Estate requirements, signposting to appropriate guidance and templates, ensuring consistency of data and CDE population.    

They will provide direct support to Board’s property and asset teams on asset management and CDE issues, covering IT issues in addition to assisting with data recording.  

In addition, where required, act as Project Manager to enable the effective delivery of Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorate (SGHSCD), NHS or HFS projects.

The successful applicant will be degree qualified in a relevant subject and will have wide knowledge / experience of NHS estates and strategic asset management issues. An awareness of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Estate / Digital Twins would be advantageous.

The position is based in Aberdeen; however extensive travel throughout the region is required. You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include regular Sundays and late evenings. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency. Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying. In order to meet the increasing demand for Primary Care Systems development from Health Boards, SGHSC and P&CFS operational business, DaS are seeking to recruit a Test Analyst to support the delivery of Business IT services for national IT Systems used by NHS Scotland.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to contribute to the provision of Testing & BAU services within Business IT to support system development, enhancement & maintenance across NHS Scotland.  The post holder will contribute to systems, to enable enhancement and access to electronic data for health professionals.
You will have excellent software testing, communication and inter-personal skills and be able to work as a member of the Business IT department liaising with customers, stakeholders, health professionals in NSS and NHS boards as well as suppliers involved across the development lifecycle of systems. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and decision making skills, exhibiting a high degree of accuracy whilst providing knowledge and skills as part of a team of specialist test analysts. You will have experience of working on large scale national IT systems developments as well as maintaining BAU services. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with proven track record of system and software testing and delivering across the systems development lifecycle. You should also be able to work across multiple projects with different priorities, managing the conflicting demands that this entails.
