School closures in an emergency
Schools are only open to in-person learning for pupils in P1-3, along with a limited number of senior phase pupils.
All other children and young people will have remote learning.
From the week beginning 22 February, we plan:
- a full-time return to school for all remaining primary school children
- a part-time return to school for all secondary pupils
- a return for all regulated childcare, including breakfast and after-school clubs, for primary pupils

School closures can happen because of emergencies like:
- severe winds
- flooding
- extreme winter weather
- the impact of coronavirus
These decisions are made in the interest of student and staff safety.
