Do you agree the 20 metre rule should be removed from the Adult Disability Payment framework?

Can the Scottish Government achieve their aim of developing a disability assistance system based on the principles of dignity, fairness and respect if they keep the 20m rule?

Please scrap the 20 m rule ,it not a fair marker for deciding entitlement especially with an illness such as ms and similar illnesses where ability can vary from day to day .

Previously been rejected because I managed to walk 20m with the aid of walking sticks, absolute disgrace

As a person with a disability, luckily, I can still drive but there will come a time when I cannot. 20m is a ridiculous restriction, that's from my front door to my garden gate. My MS means my condition varies from day to day and although I can easily walk that distance I struggle to carry anything that far and being on my feet for over half an hour is exhausting. The legislation must be more realistic in understanding the complexities of the many illnesses that impact on people's abilities just to do the daily basics

Yes I do as most days I can only walk 10 steps and have to stop

Incredibly unfair, some days 20mtrs + may well be attainable , other days 20cm is impossible .

It appears to be another Tory costcutting measure. It doesn't address people's needs. It restricts people's freedom, particularly in rural areas. It's all about punishment and control.

Just because somebody can walk 20mtrs doesn't take Into account the fatigue that takes over your body.

MS is not consistent. Some days 20 metres is entirely possible, but it can take a few days to a week to fully recover from it. Its not fair to be based on one day, which could be a good day, and not see the results in the following week, like unable to get out of bed, only able to shuffle along a few feet before fatigue hits, unable to leave your house etc.
