Strategic Framework Business Fund
If your business is registered for non-domestic rates and is required to close by law or to significantly change its operations due to COVID-19 restrictions, you should apply for the Strategic Framework Business Fund.
The fund can provide grants of up to £3,000 every 4 weeks depending on the rateable value of your premises.
In addition, you may be eligible for a one-off grant of between £6,000 - £25,000 depending on your business's size and sector.
Business Rates Relief
The Scottish Government has introduced extra rates relief discounts to help owners of non-domestic properties, including businesses, deal with the impact of coronavirus.
Extra reliefs will be available to non-domestic properties from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021.
The discounts include:
- 1.6% relief on all non-domestic properties in Scotland
- 100% rates relief for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses
- Small Business Bonus Scheme
- Payment deferral
- Support for water bills

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme
If you're self-employed or a member of a partnership and have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, you can apply for a taxable grant equal to 80% of your average monthly trading profits through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.
The grant will be paid out in a single instalment and capped at £7,500 altogether.
Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund
This grant scheme is designed to help alleviate financial hardship for newly self-employed people. To be eligible for this grant, you must have been operating your business before 17 March 2020, lost income as a result of Covid-19 restrictions, and meet all of the eligibility criteria.
