We are currently seeking applications for an Executive Assistant (A4) within the Statistical Directorate of National Records for Scotland (NRS) based in Edinburgh This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. NRS performs the registration and statistical functions of the Registrar General of Scotland, including responsibility for demographic statistics and census, and the archival functions of the Keeper. We undertake the Census of Scotland’s population and are currently working towards the next one in 2022.
As Executive Assistant you will support two Directors within National Records of Scotland to manage their calendars, emails, papers and meetings.
You will work collaboratively with other EAs to support the Directors engagement with senior colleagues at formal governance and management meetings, as well as building good links with colleagues within both of the Directorates so that any issues are managed, resolved and progressed.

We are currently seeking applications for a Census Field Operations Training Lead (B3) within National Records of Scotland (NRS). This is an 18 month fixed-term (without fair and open competition) and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the large-scale 2022 Census programme that will change how NRS interacts with the people of Scotland. As the Census Field Operations Training Lead you will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of training for around 3,000 – 4,000 temporary field operations staff across the full geographic area of Scotland. This includes tailoring training for different field staff roles, which will primarily be delivered, digitally within a short, phased, delivery window.
The role sits in the Data Collection Team, which is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design and delivery of the field operation for Scotland’s Census 2022 [2].
