The core purpose of the Digital and Security (DaS) organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland. 

A critical role in ensuring integrated Business Technology strategy and delivery of suitable and effective solutions and services is the Senior Service Manager (SSM) position. This role will strengthen our Service Management Team and be specifically focussed on the new COVID-19 portfolio of Services delivered by NSS. 

As a SSM you will be responsible for ensuring we design, develop, deploy and manage the efficient and effective Service of the COVID-19 portfolio provided by NSS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own and promote the strategy for ongoing use of the COVID-19 service portfolio Technical leadership in development, deployment and support of COVID-19 portfolio
  • Work with NSS and external bodies to continually develop product backlog and service enhancements
  • Actively contribute to a culture of high performance, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Develop organisational view and structure for the COVID-19 portfolio of technical and product specialists required to support the service

Education and Experience

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in an IT or other relevant discipline 
  • Post-graduate qualification in the specialist area, e.g. ISEB, MCSE or the Professional Certificate in Management or equivalent Master’s degree.
  • Well-developed leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Significant experience working at senior management level within the NHS or Public Sector
  • Experience of Designing and implementing National service offerings
  • Demonstrable experience of managing large national digital services and projects
  • Experience of working across a complex, and often politically driven, group of stakeholders to reach agreements
  • Contractual and Service level experience negotiations

General Requirements

  • Highly developed analytical and judgemental skills
  • Highly developed communication skills; verbal, written and presentational.

The CST provides frontline advice to blood donors via telephone/website dealing with donor selection queries, appointments, post donation advice and care. Along with the Senior Charge Nurse/Charge Nurses you will be expected to assist with the management of the service, lead and motivate the team in the delivery of frontline customer service, and provide clinical advice on blood donation and post donation care. The post holder must work closely with other clinical colleagues and donor administration teams. Experience in blood collection is desirable however relevant training will be given.    

You may be expected to travel to other sites in Scotland for meetings.

We are looking for a NMC/HCPC Registered practitioner to join our SNBTS Transfusion Team to promote the safe and appropriate use of blood and blood components through the development of national programmes of education, associated quality improvement and clinical effectiveness initiatives. You will be the named Transfusion Practitioner for NHS Fife and will work closely with NHS Fife staff. You will also work with colleagues across the east region (Lothian, Borders, Fife) as required as well as the wider SNBTS transfusion team.  You should be able to work with limited supervision and demonstrate flexibility in delivering the requirements of the post. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to adopt a flexible and proactive approach to problem solving is required to promote and champion this national programme at all levels. Candidates should have experience in a blood transfusion, haematology or related specialty.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and should have extensive clinical transfusion experience. You will be required to travel between NHS sites and Higher Education Institutes in order to fully undertake all the duties associated with the post and as such a valid driving licence is desirable. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting safe transfusion practice and maintaining good communication channels across NHS Fife as well as supporting other areas covered by the SNBTS Transfusion Team East Region.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated Technician to provide second-line support.  With experience of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft O365, diagnosis of hardware and software issues. Experience of the use of PC build tools like SCCM and InTune would be an advantage, however training will be provided. Good communications skills are important

The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.

A critical role in ensuring integrated Business Technology strategy and delivery of suitable and effective solutions and services is the Portfolio Resource Manager (PRM) position. This role provides the end to end view of all activity and resource allocations across Digital and Security to ensure full transparency of activity against priorities, funding and optimum resource utilisation.

As a PRM you will be responsible for capturing, estimating and managing the entire DaS view of activity, promptly responding to requests for estimations and new change opportunities typically via the Senior Management Team and the Digital Business Partners network. In addition to sizing future opportunities, keep a close watch on the likely approvals of the new work in order to agree and plan scheduling against relative priorities and to set expectations on availability of resources to commence new demand requests. To establish a and manage a clear pipeline of demand and the status and to provide dashboards and reporting to allow the customer facing teams to manage expectations and plan accordingly for new demand requests. To work closely with eth Pillar and senior management Team across DaS and the associated resource managers to build effective planning and tracking reports to ensure maximum transparency on the allocation of DaS resources to deliver maximum value across all areas of Operations and delivery.

You will be a key player in the development of the Digital Office function and in partnership with the wider Digital Office team establish and promote a customer focused, consistent and professional approach. You will liaise and partner across Clinical, Transformation, Cloud Operations and Information Security areas in ensuring cross functional approaches and methods are deployed.
