First Home Fund
Collection of documents relating to the First Home Fund shared equity scheme.
Introduction
The First Home Fund is a shared equity pilot scheme to provide first-time buyers with up to £25,000 to help them buy a property that meets their needs and is located in the area where they want to live.
It is open to all first-time buyers in Scotland and can be used to help buy both new build and existing properties.
The funding provided by the scheme will help around 12,000 first-time buyers purchase their first home.
The First Home Fund will re-open at 9 am on 1 April for applications due to complete in financial year 2021-22. The budget available in 2021-22 is £60 million.
Applications to the scheme can be made through the Link Housing website
The fund will close to new applications when the 2021-22 budget has been used up. No notice will be provided in advance of closure. Any applications received after the budget has been exhausted will not be processed.
