Census Non-Compliance Lead (B3) - Fixed Term Appointment

National Records of Scotland (NRS) are currently seeking applications for a Census Non-Compliance Lead. This is an 18-month fixed-term (without fair and open competition) and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. As the Census Non-Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for implementing the approaches that will be used to follow-up non-compliance during the census operation. This role will be fundamental in supporting high quality census results and delivering on legislation. You will work with a broad range of internal colleagues, and external stakeholders and have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, operational delivery environment.
The role sits in the Data Collection Team, which is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design and delivery of the field operation for Scotland's Census 2022.

National Records of Scotland (NRS) is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist in the Procurement & Commercial Services Team. The Team procures contracts for NRS, leading on the range of procurement activities, commercial decision-making and contract management covering the full end to end procurement process. As our business is very diverse so is the scope of our procurements, ranging from the high profile digital Scottish Census 2022 programme requirements to lower value conservation and archival contracts.
The team’s role is to provide specialist commercial, procurement and contracting advice and support; to drive the realisation of identifiable monetary savings for NRS; and will also contribute to the wider government economic agenda including improving business for SME’s and delivering the sustainability agenda. This will be achieved through the deployment of innovative sourcing techniques and on-going procurement, supplier and contract management methods.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders, including NRS Senior Management and Budget Managers, ensuring the delivery of value for money outcomes. This post is important in building strong relationships with customers to support the SG’s and NRS’ overall purpose.
