Step 1	Are you writing on your own or will there be multiple authors?
Step 2	Conduct a literature search.
Step 3	Decide the audience you are aiming to communicate with. Is it peers? Academics/ researchers? Students/trainees?
Step 4	Decide the type of paper – is it a review of the literature, primary research findings
Step 5	Decide where you want to submit the paper.
Step 6	Develop a working title and produce an outline of your paper
Step 7	Write the paper
Step 8	Ask peers to critically review your paper
Step 9	Submit your paper to the editor, if it is a peer reviewed journal
Step 10	Celebrate being published!
